5122905482 We're in St - Charles, IL -- just received the same call, two times in a row -  Could barely understand the phone number, but did hear the part about legal action -  Expected him to offer to fix my "computer problem", too

Post by CPA in IL,

512-290-5482 The IRS or any other government agency will NEVER contact you in this manner or make these kind of threats -All such contact is done by mail and, if the matter progresses, certified mail - You cannot go to jail simply becauseyou have unpaid back taxes - The only way you can be imprisoned is if you are convicted in federal court of very serious tax law violations that allow for imprisonment - But that is a whole separate due process with multiple steps that you will have a chance to defend yourself before being convicted - It certainly will not be announced for the first time from somescam artist in a phone call -

Post by Guest,

512-290-5482 This is a scam - The caller should be stopped - The phone Company should investigate and disconnect all associated numbers or do they value the money they receive from the scammer's phone bill payments more than they value their legitimate customers?

5122905482 Yes, got calls today from IL all stating they were from an English or Middle Eastern accent man, claiming to be Steve Martin and from some department of Federal Magstrate court filing case against me for what I have no clue, only stated to call him  at an area code number when calling from number -  Stating that the call was second final attempt to contact me, I understand its a scam to collect funds that have already been paid to payday loan companies -  I had a debt resolution company help settle payments and  the difference from what the original amount the companies wanted and what their legal team settled with my debt resolution agreed for is what these scammers are trying to collect, claiming laws broke of passing false checks, not paying your debt and failure to have default on checking account -  Well, that is all garbage, scammers lingo,I deleted the phone calls and did  not call this person back -
