Thanks for your input. But there is apparently also a communication issue with the towing contractors. I had to access the service two days ago, and was pleased with the courteous response from the dispatcher. She figured out the mileage between my location and the destination to which I needed the vehicle towed, and advised me that insurance would cover only ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ miles, the distance between locations was ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎ miles, so I'd have to pay the balance out of pocket, and offered to take my credit or debit card information so that it would be handled. I agreed to this. thinking that I'd paid ย my share, the insurance company would pay theirs, and the towing contractor would be paid accordingly.Unfortunately, my projected ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฌ-minute wait (mid-day, not rush hour, but still this didn't seem outrageous) turned into a ๐Ÿฐ-hour fiasco, with "updates" every hour that it would be another hour or more. When the truck and driver finally arrived, the driver demanded $๐Ÿด๐Ÿด.๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ in cash. I explained that the dispatcher had already told me about the ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ-mile overage, for which I'd already paid, and that the other ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ miles were covered by insurance. Driver told me there was no record of my payment, and that his boss had told him to collect the $๐Ÿด๐Ÿด because he'd figured the distance at ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ miles, not ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎ, and they only did business in cash anyhow. I got the Aggro staff on the phone to talk with him and his boss directly, but they wouldn't budge. The Acero staffer did apologize profusely, and said that if I chose to pay in cash, the charge to my bank account would be reversed, and I could submit the receipt to my insurance company for reimbursement of their share. But that didn't work either...I did happen to have some cash on me, but when I asked for a receipt, the driver said he didn't have a receipt book. When I tried to draft up a receipt document for this purpose (I had a note pad and pen in the car), he called his boss, and his boss told him to take my car off the flatbed and leave. He said he was "tired of taking these calls anyway, since he never got paid right."Called back, again staff apologized, and sent out another order. Estimated arrival was again ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฌ minutes. ย By that time, I was unwilling to be stranded after dark in a dangerous area, so called another local company to see who might arrive first. The local truck arrived within ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ minutes, so I called back to cancel the service call, and paid cash (and got a professional receipt). Despite the fact that I'd called back to Acero to cancel the second service call, I got a call two hours later from a driver from that company, stating that he'd arrived at my original location and couldn't find me. I apologized for the wasted trip, explaining that I had cancelled more than an hour earlier, and he was actually very courteous and said he was glad I'd finally gotten the car to a safe location.I totally agree that the service providers who aren't happy with the payment policies, for whatever reason, *shouldn't* continue to be on the contractor list. Trying to "double dip" by collecting cash from stranded motorists, when the cost of the service is already covered by the insurance and client payment, isn't the right solution..

I did forget to add..when you call in for a tow and gripe about it taking an hour during rush hour traffic,then you call a local towing company if you're so confident you can get one there in ๐Ÿฑ minutes. You're not the only person calling in for help. We're contracted with towing companies in a specific order and the biggest most preferred get the majority of the calls meaning their ETA will be a little lengthier. Again! Not the roadside agents fault. And to the service provider who yells when I call you out of network asking for help, I literally typed in " towing in San Diego" for es ample. And start dialing out front here, how the hell am I suppose to know you've got an issue with Agero. Just simply decline and move on. I get it,you're passed because you weren't paid for your service. But telling me off in the rudest way possible, not even necessary. Especially when I personally am nice when I call to ask for assistance.To any customer wondering, I take about ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ๐Ÿฌ-๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฑ calls per day. And after I get off the phone with one screaming idiot because we will not pay for her hotel or ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฌ mile tow, I get to talk to another one whose ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฐ ft motor home broke down and there's ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿฌ people that need a ride. It sucks being stranded with limited options,I've been there myself. But WHY WHY WHY are you screaming and yelling at me. I'm ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฏ years old and practice manners especially when I'm talking to someone whose attempting to help me.And to the service providers who are griping,get off our list. No one is keeping you as the PA, PA๐Ÿฎ or ๐Ÿฏ. When five companies down the list that small business guy gives me a ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฑ minute eta and is happy to do it..

ย  I just had my car towed home, using my US AA coverage, and after arriving home, I discovered a missed call from this number on my cell phone.ย  Based on the other comments here, connecting this number with Agero, and connecting Agero with US AA and other similar insurance companies, I now thi๐Ÿตnk it safe to assume that this was legitimate..

I got an early morning call asking me if I was "so and so." Aย I said no and caller hung up. Aย Then I received a spate of calls from different places in the country from unknown numbers--two from an auto roadside service located in MA. Aย They seem legit--wonder if their number was hijacked. Aย One from "Verizon" telling me to check and re deal the number. Aย One from a number when called, telling me I could be put on the "Do Not Call List." Aย Whew..

US AA's towing service. Aย Called me ๐Ÿฐ times, but I never made a call for a tow. Aย I called them back to let them know they have the wrong number and they had no idea what I was talking about.....

Do not call them if you are stranded..they left me and my spouse stranded for over ๐Ÿฐ hrs! By weer hrs. of morning in unsafe place,we were approached by a homless man with a cane,pushing a shopping cart full of cans,etc.,we called police and the police showed up and helped us. The insurance lady told me that when she called tow companies nobody would even answere there phones!!! A young guy showed up with a girl in his van to jump start our battery to no avail and then he left after getting signature etc. Then we were told a tow truck would come out...it never came. They had our location, charge card # given over phone to insurance, after many calls back and forth ....they never had a tow truck come! Who knows what could of happened! Shame on them!.

Called and I did not answer. Returned call and it says they are an extended warranty company. Recently I get these all the time. I have started recording these calls. I have reported it to FCC since I'm on the do not call list..

I received ๐Ÿฐ calls from Tennessee with the area code of (๐Ÿต๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿญ) ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฎ-๐Ÿฒ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฎ. After looking it up on the WEB, it appears to be a clearing house dispatch center for towing that multiple sureties utilize. I have not returned the calls. A separate call came from Arizona (๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฌ) ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฌ-๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿณ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฎ to confirm that the tow job has been completed; of which it was. Monterrey, CA ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿต๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฌ.

They called me but the connection was horrible and anyway the US AA-dispatched towing service was already here, had the disabled vehicle loaded up, and was waiting for me to come out and lead them to the service facility. Aย So, the call was a little late. Aย I hung up..

Aggro is the former Cross Country Roadside and a Leopard doesn't change it's spots ! They are still the worst company to the provider ,shorting us constantly on invoices and skipping payment on invoices.. If any provider does accept call be thankful..
