2024706049 Received a message on answering machine to call -- that the IRS had filed a lawsuit against me, called the number got foreigners i couldn't understand saying i owed the IRS money & that a lawsuit had been filed on me & I was going to jail if i didn't pay the amount owed right now, I made them mad & they hung up, I called the police to let them know & they told me that the IRS Never calls any one, they always write

202-470-6049 Same as others- Requested to call -- because the IRS is going to file a lawsuit against me- Since others on this site warned it was a scam, I did not call the number back- Will report this to the IRS-

2024706049 Scam- I called them back several times- It's a call center environment and they claim to be the "IRS" and insist on you telling them the number they contacted you from- Heavy accent and hard to understand- They state there is a law suit against you due to taxes- When asking for more detail and they just hang up- I don't think the Internal Revenue Service would operate this way-- The number will probably roll over to another before it can be traced-
