I originally ordered replacement CPAP supplies from Apria Healthcare but then when I asked the representative the total dollar amount of the order, he just sat there silently. I politely asked again and again he would not speak. I repeated a third time and he was again silent. I said Are you still there? He said yes. And I asked again. Again silence. I said are you really just not going to answer me? He then said that there is no way to accurately quote the amount I would be paying because my insurance would be paying the majority of it, but each insurance company is different. I said Well what is the total amount that you'll be charging my insurance?. He refused to say. I said Really? You just refuse to answer? What kind of a company won't tell its customers how much they're being charged?. He then got snippy with me and said I already told you, your insurance will cover most of it.. I then said, well is it bucks? A hundred? Two hundred? Five hundred? Just approximately how much is the total orde?. He said you'll be paying probably about $ to $. When I finally got the bill for close to NINE HUNDRED DOLLARS I was furious. True, after the insurance company pushed back, it went down into the three hundreds and true, my out of pocket was about forty bucks, but this was only for three CPAP mask frames and one postage stamp sized air filter. Then and there I decided I would never use Apria Healthcare again. Their robot keeps calling me, but I'm done with them. Is it any wonder why healthcare costs keep skyrocketing? Okay, charge me whatever's fair, but when you're so blatently ovrcharging patients that you have a policy against quoting patients the actual prices you're about to bill to their insurance company, you don't deserve to be in business. Finger of shame, Apria Healthcare.

I received a call this morning from this number. The person claimed that they were with the IRS and that I owed over $ in tax fraud. He knew my name and address. What made me decide it was a scam was that he was threatening me with law enforcement and jail time, he was requesting payment over the phone and asking me how much I could pay, and when I told him I would call the IRS directly and make sure everything was true, he told me I was in for the worst nightmare of my life and hung up. While I have not spoken to anyone at this number (I usually just let it go to vmail with these type of numbers) they have called several times. Tried to call the number back but it says the number you have dialed is not in service. Electric discounters are running rampant in PA with the ability to switch electric providers but that can also be used by scammers trying to get you to switch and get your personalcredit info

The tactic they used is a common and illegal one. They violated the RICO Act, which states that they CAN'T use coerscion by intimidation to make you do something. If they passed themselves off as attorneysor otherwise led you to believe they were, they need to be addressed. People like them need to be procecuted

Called and left a message on my work phone I do not have listed on anything all student loans have my cell phone number. I selected that ext indicated on the message I got a different lady than what was left on the message they didnt say anything other than to call them back. The lady then wanted to know the number I was calling from I told her as well as my last name not my first and she indicated I wasnt in their system but wanted my social security number I work in the finance industry so NOT giving that out over the phone. she asked if I had student loans I stated yes however all are up to date Im currently in school they are in deferrment status and I check them on a monthly basis.
