A  Now I am being harassed with phone calls from 𝟮𝟰𝟬-𝟰𝟮𝟬-𝟲𝟬𝟮𝟵 aND 𝟴𝟭𝟮-𝟮𝟭𝟴-𝟯𝟭𝟰𝟰. A I did call back from my work location aND left that number.....no one called me back there, just my cell phone night aND day! A Is there anything to be done?.

My husband keeps having this number call him on his cell phone and giving him a case number and asking him to call them back. Why would the census bureau call a cell phone? A We haven't gotten anything in the mail to fill out, and if we do, we won't fill it out. A Pure invasion of privacy. A Is their any way we can block their number?.

I never answer numbers I don't know, I don't care what the caller ID says. I got a call from this number and let it go to voice mail. I looked the number up, the US Census was the 𝟭st to come up. So I looked it up in their directory. It came up as their National Processing Center  in Maryland. Considering some of the comments bout weekends, and non-census yrs. The info I found, they work 𝟮𝟰/𝟳 even on holidays if is 𝟭 of 𝟱 main centers. There are 𝟭𝟯𝟬 different types of surveys they do annually. It also said the call 𝟮-𝟯 times a day til they get a response!  🤔 What they mean by "response".

I've gotten calls for the last few of weeks, mostly on Sundays. They've left 𝟯 or 𝟰 messages asking me to call back. Also called from 𝟱𝟮𝟬-𝟳𝟵𝟴-𝟰𝟭𝟱𝟮. I answered today and the lady told me they had previously mailed me a survey and asked if I still lived at that address. I told her I haven't lived at that address for several years. She said I was no longer eligible for the survey and they would have to research my address??? --but I could provide my new address to her. I said "no thanks' and she thanked me and hung up. I don't know if it's legit or not. I'm not sure how else the government can get information about how the average American lives, except to ask people for their personal information, but with the constant fear of identity theft you would think they could have come up with a better way..

Continuously call leaving messages.  Very much like a collection agency.  Why won't they just leave me alone?.

This IS the Census Bureau. A And they will haunt you to the depths of hell if you don't complete the "American Community Survey". A This is NOT the "every 𝟭𝟬 years for a head-count" survey - far from it. A The 𝟮𝟴-page questionnaire asks extremely personal financial information THAT THE GOVERNMENT HAS NO BUSINESS COLLECTING. A They claim it's for them to know where to build schools and hospitals. A Here's a news flash: A The government doesn't build schools and hospitals. A And what does the amount I owe on a home, how many times I've been married, and how many vehicle loans I have, and what time I leave for work - WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH BUILDING ANYTHING? A They claim the information they collect is "private" and will not be divulged to anyone - hey, I thought you just said it was used to help locate schools and hospitals. A I'm not as worried about them divulging this to a third party as I am the fact that THE GOVERNMENT WANTS THIS INFORMATION. A If you trust politicians, go ahead, tell them your entire life history. A NOT ME. A Just one of the blatant examples of why this government is f****-up. A By A the way, they also call from TX: 𝟴𝟭𝟮-𝟮𝟭𝟴-𝟯𝟭𝟰𝟰 in the State of Indiana. A Damn crooks.".

It is getting very annoying. I filled out The darn survey The second time I got Their letter. Third letter and I wrote an email to The person who sent, who replied That since I completed The survey (not my fault if Their system did not record mine), I should disregard  furTher communication. 𝟰Th, 𝟱Th time again... and just today few minutes ago, a lady calling me to confirm if I haven't received/completed it. Yes, I did. And I don't need They keep wasting money by sending out more letters or calling me. The survey is about grads and students. Well, if They want to know everyThing, I earned my degree in my home country, and I don't owe any money to any creditor. Yes, I am working on my own..

I keep getting calls from different phone numbers saying they are from the Census Bureau. Sometimes a message is left, sometimes not. I did get two "American Community Survey" in the mail addressed to "resident". I haven't lived here very long and my number is not listed. How would they have my phone number if the thing was sent to "resident"? I think this is a scam or something fishy the government is doing. I worked for the Census Bureau for the 𝟭𝟵𝟵𝟬 census. I hated how intrusively personal it was and quit. I had started filling it out and it just made me suspicious and ticked off. When I worked for the census, I had a list of which people had responded at which address. If people did not respond I went door to door asking people to respond. We had absolutely no power to do a damn thing to anyone. Of course, I was just a grunt. Maybe with the lying Bush administration things have changed..

Got a call from said Census Bureau. ' My supervisor is listening' . She had my name and phone number. WRONG address. Wrong count of house-hold and ...sex. Put me on hold 'Let me check with my supervisor'. After a while different voice comes on and asks to speak to some one over the age of 𝟮𝟲 (?).I said you are speaking to her.. put back on hold.. First voice comes back on 'OK, we are sorry to have disturbed you ma'am, click......... What the hell was that all about!!!  Something is not right!!!I told them right off that we had already sent in our info, so why did they need to call. 'We are just double checking our records'. I don't buy it. Not in this day and age. That is not the way to conduct business- of any kind. The only thing I corrected with her was the address, and I am thinking that that was too much. This really ticked me off!!.

telemarketers pretending to be with the US government.  Spammers, do not give them any information.  They are also making fake posts on these boards to throw people off about them.  The US government would only call from an "𝟴𝟴𝟴" number -ONLY and your caller id would list as"US Census".  Any thing else is a lie!.

This is, as many have stated, the compliance control arm of the Bureaucratic agency in charge of SAC, American Community Survey ... reaching out to "put the fear of Government" in Ya'. Hahaha... Now many of you have bought the idea that Big Brother is only here to" Help You". Some of you love Big Bro and the idea of a socialistic, cradle to grave, authority and provider. They have worked hard to instill this mind-set and social milieu.  But some of us old farts see right through this hard-sell BS.  Fill it out if you haven't the ability to see what it really is… take your opiate, blue pill. Join the march to Eric Bliar's warned of vision of our future. But to my brothers of the Red Pill, I salute you and join you in refusing to Comply with the Inquisitor's mandate. It's called civil disobedience and a valued character trait of free people..

Unfortunately, they are telling the truth.  I wouldn't give the guy any information that came to my door and they called me and have called me now for 𝟮-𝟯 months in a row. I agree that the information is random, but harmless. Supposedly, we can get in trouble with the law if we refuse to answer. Funny, though, WE PAY THEIR SALARY!.

Wow, The 'US Census Bureau' sure is persistent! This is The 𝟱Th number That They've called from, and They call daily. We did The American Community Survey, what more do They want? If They show up at my house I'll call The cops. Caller id doesn't even say US Census Bureau so This is probably a scam. Be careful of scammers trying to get personal information while pretending to be from The census bureau!.

My story is the same as the others. A Getting so tired of these calls. My husband DID answer one day and offered to answer their questions but they said NO THEY WANTED TO SPEAK TO THE LADY OF THE HOUSE. A Well, they just blew their last chance to get any info out of us. A Why not quit wasting our time and money and do something worthwhile...Japan could use some help-for example-after the recent tsunami. A Send 'em over there to do some "real" work that's important and not this irritating drivel..
