I just got a call and have had a number of calls from this number and several others each  from the 𝟱𝟭𝟴-𝟳𝟳𝟮-xx xx number range claiming to be a different entities.  This time it is like most just got call center noise (they evidently don't take breaks or bathroom visits into account.) Here is some good tips regarding these scams.𝟭.) Never state the debt is yours, never send ANY personal information, never make a partial payment to hold it.  If you do even if the debt is not yours or it is a scam you will remove the statue of limitations and you can be sued.𝟮.) Record the call  and tell them you are doing it. Many answering machines and smartphones can do this...and it is necessary to have their consent on the recording to stand up in court.𝟯.) State that you need to have the verification of debt sent to your mailing address...but do not give them your address that is their job to know this.  Again NEVER make any "yes" or otherwise affirmative answer or they can turn the legal system against you.𝟰.) If they get abusive and threaten or yell then you most likely you are dealing with a scammer, or an unethical collector.𝟱.) Take their information and terminate the call but never affirm in any way it is yours research it if it is beyond the statue of limitations for the states the offense occurred in or that the supposed debt was claimed in then don't worry.𝟲.) If you receive a summons DO NOT call the number included  on the forms look it up in a real phone book or similar website and call the location the summons is supposedly from and verify the summons is real.  If you call the number on the documentation it may be fake but convincingly real. DO NOT IGNORE A SUMMONS IF YOU FIND IT IS REAL or you may forfeit any chance of defending yourself in court and most likely a default judgment will go against you.𝟳.) In any case have a good credit based attorney chosen to represent you.  Do your research find out which are the best honest and straight forward counselors they can be a life saver even if you would have to pay for their services..

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans Washington, D.C. December 𝟬𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟭𝟬  FBI National Press Office (𝟮𝟬𝟮) 𝟯𝟮𝟰-𝟯𝟲𝟵𝟭— filed under: Press Release The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be reparesentatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started. The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim’s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims’ relatives, friends, and employers. Some fraudsters have instructed victims to fax a statement agreeing to pay a certain amount, on a specific date, via a pare-paid Visa card. The statement further declares the victim will never dispute the debt. If you receive these calls, do not follow the caller’s instructions. Rather, you should:■Notify your banking institutions.■Contact the three major credit bureaus and request an alert be put on your file.■Contact your local law enforcement agencies if you feel you are in immediate danger.■File a complaint at www.IC𝟯.gov. Tips to avoid becoming a victim of this scam:■Never give your Social Security number—or personal information of any kind—over the telephone or online unless you initiate the contact. ■Be suspicious of any e-mail with urgent requests for personal financial information. The e-mail may include upsetting or exciting but false statements to get you to react immediately.■Avoid filling out forms in e-mail messages that request personal information.■Ensure that your browser is up-to-date and security patches have been applied.■Check your bank, credit, and debit card statements regularly to make sure that there are no unauthorized transactions. If anything looks suspicious, contact your bank and all card issuers.■When you contact companies, use numbers provided on the back of cards or statementshttp://www.fbi.gov/news/paressrel/paress-releases/paydayloanscam_𝟭𝟮𝟬𝟳𝟭𝟬.

I have been getting these phone call's stating that I have borrowed money, and didn't pay it back, and they were going to send an officer to my place of employment, I inform them that I have an lawyer, and they state that If I would just verify information, and if it isn't me, then they will stop calling me for payment. the man gets so rude, and treating, stating that he is going to have me arrested at work, and notify the law enforcement agency in my town to have me arrested, and will be sending to the courts to have all my assessts frozen until this matter is settled. This needs to stop, there are people who are being taken for their hard erned money, and to give it to some foreign person, with accents from the middle eastern area. They can't even pronounce my name correctly. .

Guys, Please stop this cheap activity that you are doing. No matter you don't like when they call you to inform you about any legal issue going under your name but this doesn't means that you can put wrong and unwanted comments on their number. I got a call today from the same number. A gentlemen named Allan Marshall talked to me and informed me about the issue and i verified all the information with my bank and the company as well. Thank god i don't took that phone call in the way u guys took otherwise i would have been in to trouble. I got a loan in my past and defaulted on that loan cuz of some financial issues. Now i have settled this issue and i am a debt free person now. Don't abuse and don't get annoyed. simply understand the situation and act accordingly. God Bless You all..................
